DETAILS OF LICENSE AND TRAINING:

Training facilities are offered by the Academy to obtain the following Licenses:STUDENT PILOT LICENSE (SPL):An oral examination shall be conducted by a representative of the DGCA on the following subjects:1. Air Regulation.
2. Air Navigation
3. Aviation Meteorology
4. Aircraft & Engines (General & Specific)

SPL will be issued by the Academy after the following requirements are satisfied.a. The trainee shall not be less than 16 years of age on the date of application for issue of SPL. Should have passed 10th or equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
b. The trainee must be medically fit.
c. The trainee shall pass the oral examination conducted by the DGCA.FLIGHT RADIO TELEPHONE OPERATORS’ LICENSE (FRTOL®)FRTOL® is issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation, New Delhi after a written examination conducted by the Chief Flying Instructor of the Academy on this subject.FRTOL® will be issued after the following requirements are satisfied.a. The applicant shall not be less than 17 years of age on the date of application for issue of PPL.
b. The applicant shall produce a Medical Assessment Certificate issued by Director General of
Civil Aviation.PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE (PPL):PPL is issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation, New Delhi after a written examination conducted by Director General of Civil Aviation.Minimum 40 hours of flying, out of which 20 hours of solo flying and a pass in the following subjects:1. Air Regulation.
2. Air Navigation
3. Aviation Meteorology
4. Aircraft & Engines (General & Specific)

PPL will be issued after the following requirements are satisfied.a. The applicant shall not be less than 17 years of age on the date of application for issue of PPL.
b. The applicant shall produce a Medical Assessment Certificate issued by Director General of
Civil Aviation.
c. Applicant has to pass the flying tests and the above written examination conducted by Director
General of Civil Aviation, New Delhi. The examinations are held once every three months
at Thiruvananthapuram under the supervision of Civil Aviation Department.

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE

 The Director General of Civil Aviation, New Delhi conducts the written examination at Chennai, Mumbai, Calcutta and New Delhi every three months commencing January of every year. The student has to pass in the following subjects:1. Air Regulation.
2. Air Navigation
3. Aviation Meteorology
4. Aircraft & Engines (General & Specific)
5. Radio Telephone (Oral & Practical) conducted by Wireless and Planning Co-ordination Wing, New Delhi. Minimum flying hours required for the issue of the Commercial Pilot License is 200 hours within a period of 5 years.

The trainee has to undergo and pass all flying tests as laid down by Director General of Civil Aviation.The issue of Commercial Pilot License is subject to a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the Air Force Medical Board (Central Medical Establishment, New Delhi or Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore).Applicant shall not be less than 18 years of age on the date of application for the issue of Commercial Pilot License.OTHER CONDITIONS:i) Training will be terminated at any stage if the trainee is found unfit for flying, or not showing any progress in flying or if found involved in problem/trouble making activities in the Academy.ii) Initial instructional flying is restricted to 20 hours by which time a trainee must be able to fly solo.iii) Further, a trainee must be able to get his Private Pilot License within 60 hours of combined dual and solo flying.

REFUND POLICY

 Security Deposit should be refundable at the end of training. In case of premature termination of the course by the student, fees will not be refunded under any circumstance. All fees mentioned above, are subject to change depending on cost of fuel, aircraft spares and changes in Central Govt/State Govt policies etc.
